《Concept》 3D printing studio, shop and resell

Lilok 3D Studio

A concept for a fictional Metro Manila 3D printing studio. Drop in an STL or 3MF and the price shows on screen before anyone messages. There is also a shop and a reseller wallet for Shopee and TikTok Shop sellers, run from a 19-screen back office. Sample data.

Lilok home page as a Facebook post: the layer-by-layer print film hero.

The problem

Close rivals quote after a message. Flarelab quotes by email within a day, and Printables.ph gives an estimate that a person then reviews. Resellers on Shopee and TikTok Shop have no easy way to list a printed design without holding stock. Thesis models have no published student price.

Research

Market scan, 18 Oct 2026. Flarelab prices from ₱150 with a catalog from ₱99. Printables.ph (Cebu) estimates online, then a person reviews. 3D2Go prices per project. Market bands are ₱5–15 per gram for FDM and ₱50–100 per machine hour.

The idea

On this page, layer lines become the scroll. A clipping plane rises with scroll, the nozzle traces the wall, and the planter turns through its four shop colours. The same viewer prices an uploaded file, and a reseller's sale prints and ships blind in their name.

The story

  1. Story slide: Lilok cover.

What it does for the business

It would put the price on screen before anyone messages, then send an approved quote to a job queue that takes grams off the filament stock. Resellers would pay from a prepaid wallet. Concept only, with sample printers, orders and prices.

Figures marked sample are illustrations, not real results.

How it's built

  • Upload leads the homepage. It is the most distinctive line, and the hero film is a print.
  • The browser measures volume, surface area and bounding box, then prices the file live, aiming for within ±20% of a slicer's estimate.
  • No reference, no printing: an upload quote becomes an order only after a GCash reference is entered.
  • A reseller order is held when the wallet is short. Matching the top-up lets it print.
  • Shop prices are lower than a one-off upload (planter ₱390 vs ₱489) because shop designs print in batches. The homepage says so.
